Agrecovery has just been awarded a Taranaki Regional Council Environmental Award 2012. The awards recognise initiatives that maintain and enhance the region’s high-quality environment. Nicolette West, Waste Minimisation Officer, said “This award recognises that the Agrecovery programmes provide an easy and safe system for farmers to dispose of chemicals and plastics that could otherwise cause environmental problems by being disposed of on farms or sent to landfill. “The scheme significantly reduces the amount of waste in the region and conserves resources.” Leon McPhillips, North Island Sales & Relationship Coordinator for Agrecovery, is pictured with David MacLeod, Chairman of TRC, at the award ceremony at the council on Tuesday 15th May.
