About
Agrecovery was established in 2005 to address persistent
‘on farm’ waste issues and since our inception we’ve come a long way.
Today Agrecovery provides New Zealand farmers and growers with nationwide agrichemical container, silage wrap and crop protection net recycling as well as a programme for the collection of unwanted chemicals.

The Foundation that governs Agrecovery has trustees who represent Federated Farmers, Horticulture New Zealand, Rural Contractors New Zealand, DairyNZ, Agcarm and Waikato Regional Council for local government. Click here for more about the Agrecovery Foundation.
Safety and compliance are important aspects of the Agrecovery programme and we work hard to ensure the safety of all those involved in the programme, particularly in regard to container recycling and chemical recovery. In line with this the Agrecovery programme is accredited to the ISO 14001 environmental standard.
Agrecovery’s container and chemical programmes are MfE accredited Product Stewardship Schemes under the Waste Minimisation Act 2008. For the accreditation summary click here.
Agrecovery is also affiliated with Crop Life International, an international organisation representing crop protection companies worldwide, and is consistent with international best practice.
The Agrecovery programme is managed on behalf of the Foundation by 3R Group Ltd who also operate other product stewardship programmes, such as Resene Paintwise.
