Get recycling and be into win!

Young Farmers and Agrecovery Rural Recycling have joined forces to encourage you to recycle your plastic farm waste, protecting both your land and our environment.

According to a recent report by Environment Canterbury potentially around 700,000 kg of containers are burned, buried in a farm pit or stockpiled in Canterbury each year.

What could that figure be for the whole of NZ? 3 million? 4 million? That’s a lot of containers every year!

Thanks to the support of nearly 60 brand owners, Agrecovery offers a free recycling programme for more than 3,000 commonly used agrichemical, animal health and dairy hygiene containers. Instead of being burned or dumped, your empties could be recycled to “go another round”!

Agrecovery also have a safe disposal programme for those unwanted chemicals sitting in your shed.

To get you started, Agrecovery is offering all Young Farmers the chance to win a $250 voucher to spend at the rural retailer of your choice simply by registering with Agrecovery before the end of the January 2014!

Next time you finish a container of drench or spray, don’t burn or bury it; make it go another round with Agrecovery!
